Frequently Asked Questions
I do not have my own showroom. Instead, I work with trusted kitchen suppliers who have an excellent visitor centre with kitchens on display. This allows you to see finishes, layouts and details in person, without the pressure of a sales environment. I can also provide samples and guide you through choices based on your home and how you use the space.
Yes. I visit your home and take accurate measurements of your kitchen and surrounding spaces. Spending time in the space allows me to understand proportions, natural light, existing services and how the room connects to the rest of your home. This helps ensure the design works properly and reduces issues during installation.
Yes. I provide fully rendered 3D visuals as part of the design process. These give you a realistic sense of how the kitchen will look and feel, including layout, finishes and lighting. This helps you make confident decisions before anything is ordered or installed.
Kitchen design costs £300. If you choose to purchase your kitchen through Interior Instincts, this cost is deducted from your kitchen order. The design fee covers independent planning, layout, storage, clear visuals and plans for your fitters ensuring decisions are made early and the project runs smoothly.
The main difference is the level of personal service and independence. I come to your home, spend time in the space and take the time to understand how you live and use your kitchen. There is no pushy sales approach and no pressure to fit your home into a standard solution. The focus is on creating a well planned kitchen that works for your life style and integrates smoothly with the rest of your home.
Yes. Kitchens are often part of a larger open or multi-use space. I can design the full room alongside the kitchen, including layout, furniture, lighting and finishes, so the space feels cohesive and considered rather than like a kitchen dropped into a room.
Yes. I design kitchens and can also supply them. This gives you access to well made kitchens without being tied to a single showroom or sales-led approach. The focus remains on good layout, clear planning and choosing the right solution for your home.
I do not install kitchens myself, but I work closely with experienced kitchen fitters and builders. I can arrange the installation for you and remain involved throughout the process, providing clear drawings and support to help the installation run smoothly.
I have over 10 years of experience designing kitchens, working with both off-the-shelf and fully bespoke solutions. My background includes design-only projects as well as overseeing installations, which gives me a strong understanding of how designs translate on site. I hold a degree in Product and Furniture Design, which informs my approach to layout and installation and how kitchens are built and used in real life.
