About
Hi! I'm Natalie.
Interior designer, planner and director of Interior Instincts ltd.

I've always believed that our surroundings have a huge impact on how we feel. A well-designed space can reduce stress, boost mood, and improve overall well-being, but so often, people don’t know where to start when it comes to creating a home or workspace that truly supports them. That’s where I come in.
My background combines a passion for design with a technical understanding of how a space should function. My journey started with a degree in Product & Furniture design and I then went on to spend 10 years working in various design rolls including kitchen and bathroom design and designing bespoke fitted furniture. In these roles, I was designing for residential clients, working with architects and project managing installations. My expertise extends beyond styling and I specialise in space planning, technical drawings, and coordinating with trades, which allows me to bridge the gap between design concepts and finished rooms.
I love blending creativity with technical problem-solving, ensuring my clients don’t just get a beautiful space, but one that genuinely improves how they live and work. With a longstanding passion for anything creative, I thrive on using different colours and materials to transform spaces and want to inspire people to step out of their comfort zones.

Why I Started Interior Instincts

To Relieve Stress
I saw how overwhelming renovations and home improvements could be for busy people. With so many decisions to make, technical details to consider, and trades to coordinate, it’s easy for projects to become stressful, time-consuming, and go off track. My goal is to take that stress away.
To Improve Wellbeing
A thoughtfully designed interior can significantly enhance your wellbeing and reduce stress. By optimizing layout, lighting and colour, we can create environments that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. I have a keen interest in biophilic design and the profound effects natural elements can have on people. Using this concept in design can reduce anxiety, lower blood pressure and increase creativeness and productivity.
To Design More Sustainably
In an industry often criticized for its environmental impact, my aim is to design with sustainability in mind and help you to make better choices when making home improvements. An inviting space does not need to come at the expense of the planet. I spend a lot of time researching products and materials which look great but are less damaging to the planet and I am committed to continuous learning and improvement.
